We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC Doha, Qatar for a

 

Crane Operator

 

Job Purpose:

To optimize production downtime when executing maintenance activities contributing to the development and review of risk assessments.

 

Your main duties will be to: -

 

Act as a Permit Performing Authority to ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the
Permit to Work process and company requirements.
Safely operate and maintain various crane types within safe working load (SWL) and limits.
Conduct daily routine and safety checks on cranes and operational equipment, maintain records on the
same.
Work at height within operational limits of the crane.
Complete preventive maintenance work.
Optimise the safe offloading and loading of cargo to and from supply vessels.
Overseeing the safe Transfer of personnel to and from shuttle vessels.
Provide visible leadership to personnel to ensure safety targets are met.
Promote NOC core values by being a safety role model, showing trust, respect and commitment,
fostering collaboration across the organization.
Promote cost consciousness in order to embed a strong cost culture.
Drive an incident free environment by establishing and maintaining a strong incident free culture.
Actively participates in and promotes company health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures,
that ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times.
Ensure compliance with Operating Procedures and Guidelines to ensure Process Safety, Operational
Safety and Plant Integrity.

 

Ideally, you will have graduated with minimum Higher Secondary School Education plus a three-year technical diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent).

Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years offshore level on-field equipment in diversified oil & gas processing or petrochemical plants.

You are fluent in English with both written and verbal communication

You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Profile

Education: High School Diploma / College Technical certificate in discipline or higher.
Industry Experience: Minimum 4 years recent experience in offshore deck and cargo operations.
Driver certificate (A certificate) issued by a recognized educational institute.
Experience with seatrax pedestal cranes, Liebherr and hydro lift or similar.
