We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Qatar LLC
QC Inspector (Instrument)
Primary Responsibilities
- Awareness of Qafco 7 Project HSE requirements and compliance with all relevant policies and procedures of QAFCO Integrated Management Systems, Qafco 7 Project and the relevant Authorities.
- Awareness of QAFCO 7 Quality requirements and compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Review all fabrication specifications, codes and standards related to Inspection & Test procedures Attend the inspection witness and hold points as per the approved Quality Control Plan and report the inspections to the QC Engineer Construction.
- Follow up all Site NCR in area of responsibility and ensure proper actions and documentation.
- Coordinate all requests for Instrument system/loop inspections and coordinate the same with the relevant Project Team members.
- Follow up the Mechanical Completion, verify and close punch items in area of responsibility.
- Follow up preservation of Site, inspect Spares Parts and Special Tools and ensure correct equipment is being used.
- Review EPCC Contractor Instrument QC personnel qualification and performance.
- Review and approve all inspection and repair reports submitted by EPCC Contractor during Construction and Commissioning.
- Ensure implementation of the QAFCO 7 Contract requirements in area of responsibility and report any deviation to the Project Director through the line responsible
- Shall monitor construction quality activities, review all inspection, and test records and assist and liaison with other PT members, as applicable.
- Shall conduct inspections as per RFI’s and review QC reports and accept or report any deviations through the QC Engineer -Construction, where necessary.
- Shall document and submit his Lessons Learned in accordance with relevant PIM procedure.
Profile
Degree/ Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering discipline from a recognized University/Institution
Minimum of 5 years of experience for Engineers and 7 years for Diploma holders in inspection of Instrument Systems/ loops in Oil & Gas industries or fabrication Company
Experience in Good knowledge of various in-service inspection practices, Review of specifications, etc.
You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
